From what I understood HERE it sounds like the pipeline does go to a treatment facility in Wylie to filter zebra mussels, but then ultimately uses Lavon as a storage reservoir? Am I reading this wrong? Seems like this water should end up in Lavon/Hubbard?

That's how I interpret it

Texoma water will not go into Lavon. They will be taking water from Lavon and mixing it with water from Texoma. The water from Texoma is too salty to use without diluting it. The only plus with the pipeline being opened is there will be less water removed from Lavon.

They pumped the Texoma water late May. It's very minimal and won't fill up much. The collin county population growth exceeds the water supply. We still need much more rain. My city is still in stage 3 water restriction, twice a month.

Also FYI, my buddy Gene, his rear trailer tires dropped off the ramp at Chandlers Landing last Friday but luckily his boat was in the water. Make sure you stay close to the courtesyy dock if launch there. I consider Chandlers to be one of the best ramps of all the lakes I've been to.

Please rain and take your time getting your boat fixed Roy grin

Since May 7, last "big" rain, Hubbard has gone up and back down exactly one foot. As of a few minutes ago, 12:30 posting, Hubbard is exactly 8 feet low.

On the other hand, May 7-July 9, Lavon has remained steady. It has actually risen, 0.06 feet. I hope this is due to the pipeline, but the only way Hubbard will benefit is for the lake to fill up enough to open the flood gates. Lavon still shows to be 11.7 feet low. I can't remember when the gates were last open. The last time Lavon was full was May 19, 2012. Hubbard was last full July 16, 2012. No doubt we need rain.
