Hey you carpers and buffalo fishers. If you catch a bunch of fish and don't want them or some are to deeply hooked I will be willing to take them off your hands. I will cut them up and use them for my jug lines. They make great bait for cats. Just email me and maybe I can meet you somewhere. I live close to lavon and hubbard. Maybe you could take me out and show me some places to catch some. I know how hard they fight and would love to catch them, and don't worry would only keep what I need for bait.
Drop it in front of them and they will eat it!!!

I go to Fiesta in Plano and get buffalo for about a buck a pound. Not free but they always have them in stock.

Yeah, there are a few places around you can buy them at, Fiesta being one of them.
Most of the fish we caught are going to be released alive and well to be caught again. Occassionally we may keep some smaller fish to eat or something.
If you are looking for fish to use as bait, I'd suggest Joe Pool Lake. It may be a bit out of your way, but that lake is absolutely full of small carp, and I think most of the guys here would agree with me that some selective harvest of smaller fish there wouldn't hurt the population at all. Might even increase the overall size.
I think the average size of carp at Joe Pool is only 2 or 3 pounds, I know some other big time carpers who have used those fish for bait before so I don't think there would be much outcry lol.
That'd be my suggestion anyway. Lots of small fish in need of thinning, good size for bait.
