Is not good. The hurricane just missed us here on Cape Cod but did get some heavy storms. It passed through Friday and Saturday morning it was gone. Turned into a very nice day but the high pressure and blue bird skies killed us. Fished a lake that had some big smallmouth. I thought I might finally catch a 5 pound Smallie. Me and my BIL fished with a buddy of his that fishes this lake all the time. He said there were largemouth but he never had caught one over two pounds. He caught the only two fish all day and they were both largemouth over 5 pounds on a drop shot. What was really strange was we found about 10 fish on beds, a few good ones but we didn't fish them too hard. We were trying for the smallmouth. I've heard people say that they have seen them spawn in June but that was the first time I hade ever seen it, largmouth spawning July 5 in 75 degree water.
