But he left me off with a warning ticket. Seems as though I've been fishing all year with last years fishing license in my wallet. Found my current license in my night stand. I think he got amused watching me tear my wallet apart looking for my license. There's no dummy like an old dummy.

Asked him to follow me to my boat dock, as I knew it was sitting on my desk. He wasn't having it eek
Cost me $20 to have it dismissed realmad

Jacob, I was on Martin Lake. It's funny because when I saw him pulling up behind us I went ahead and starting getting our my wallet and I was thinking "OH Carp, I bet my wife doesn't have her license with her". I gave him my license and he studied it awhile and ask if I had a Texas license. I had given him an Oklahoma license. I then gave him my Texas license and once again he got quiet and asked do you have a current license. Then I got quiet and it felt like my boat was sinking. Anyway he was cool about it all and told me to go home and get my current license.

I have a plastic badge holder one you would use if you were in college to hold your student id with my license in it and its safety pinned to the outside of my tackle bag. I kept the little sleeve academy gives you when you purchase a license and wrote the expiration date on it. This way i always have it and i have no excuse for a expired license. Hope this helps someone.

This is a good technique except you need a valid ID as well so if you forget your wallet, still SOL. I keep my license in my wallet at all times, my wallet goes in the glove box of the boat, or with hunting in my shooting bag which contains my bullets. If I forget the bag, no hunting for me either way.

Since you need proof of identity I would assume the answer is yes.

Past experience on Texoma: 1-Get a Texoma license it is cheaper than being on the OK side with TL. 2-You must have license and ID on you anytime you fish. Most lakes are the same.
