Looking for info on a couple of bay boats I got my eyes on. Both are 2004 Blue Waves. Both are 22 footers. First one is a Blue Wave Extreme with a Yamaha 220 hp VMax. Boat is fully loaded also has jackplate & trim tabs. Current owner say's it will draft from 10 to 12 inches.
Second one is a Blue Wave Pro Edition with a Yahama 150 hp OX66. It also comes with a jackplate.
What I would like to know are Blue Wave boats well built, dry ride & can draft aleast 12 inches of water? Also are the 2 above listed Yahama outboards goods motors? Thanks! Chief Mike.

Blue wave is a good boat. The super tunnel will run shallower. Not all will agree with me, but Yamaha makes a good motor. My next one will be a 4 stroke. Three family members own one and they work! The Vmax will have a better hole shot... prolly!

I fish with a friend a lot that has a BW boat, it is DRY and probably the best ride I have been in, in the last few years I have tried many and if I ever bought another it would be a BlueWave, Nautic Star 2nd, yes with a Yamaha or Merc motor. If I won the lottery I would have a new one this week.

I've been looking at the new 2014 2000 pure bays I really like the layouts.. It'll be my first boat so I've been doing a lot of reading wish I could find a demo to ride in..

i'd go with the ox 66. i've got a 200 hpdi and it's been a good motor for me, but i've had some fuel issues. i think the 150 ox66 would be a more economical and reliable engine.

Depends on the price of the boats you listed but yes, in general Bluewaves are good boats. I owned a 190 Deluxe with 115 yamaha 4 stroke for 4 years.
I will say that I took it to Florida a lot and no one there had heard of them.
