i am wanting to really start learning to fish fork which means me dedicating lots of time on the water. i want to start coming down from arlington on friday mornings when i get off at 7am and staying friday night and possibly sat night also. i do not know anybody that lives on the lake and i cannot afford a $75 dollar room every weekend. so i was wondering does anybody know of a place like stompys on hubbard creek that just offers the basic amenities that a person such as myself would need? list of needs to follow.....
1) at least a twin size bed or a comfy cot. ( dont really need the 2 hots! peanut butter jelly time!) 2) ac and heat that actually works. 3) a plug to recharge batteries(boat and cell phone) 4) a clean place to chit, shower and shave
cant think of anything else that i would need at this time but guys please feel free to add anything that i might have missed and as far as what i would be willing to pay lets just say it needs to be as cheap as possible!

Not sure if you will find one, seems that most charge about $49 a night, unless you can work out something with a place

Do you have a fishing buddy to split the room/fishing costs? If you do, get some earplugs and enjoy saving some $

I've enjoyed my stays at Burning Stump, Lake Fork Marina, Collin's Landing, Scenic 515 Cabins, and Links at Land's End Cabins. I'd say the average rate is $60 with Links at Land's End being the most expensive. Here's an incomplete/ not 100% accurate list of lodging available with phone#s and websites Click on link lodging link

Buy an annual pass for camping most campgrounds have toilets and some have showers. No A/C but you can get an inverter for the truck to run 110v fans but not too long, unless you carry an extra battery for it. Camping can be a blast.

Buy a cheap RV and lease a space for a year. Or find one for sale that is already set up. They are all over. IF your going to go a lot, it will pay for itself.

ok this is the red neck in me, they have a company that called acboot.com that makes a ac sleeve for the tent. we had one in our tent at the owners tournament a few years back and were able to get the temp in the tent down to 60 degree's.
