Does anyone have the phone number for the warden that covers Richardson?

Was fishing Spring Creek this afternoon when 3 guys walked by with a stringer and mesh bag full of panfish, bass and catfish that they had speared. I mentioned to them that spearing gamefish was illegal and one of them said they knew and not to worry it was the last time. I doubt that and can say that little creek can't support that kind of poaching and not wipe the fishery out. They had a lot of fish. The bass and cats were undersized and they could care less how small the perch were.

Yes I did call game thief and left a message but would like a direct number so if I see this again I can try and notify someone while I'm seeing it.

Everyone seems to have their "good reason" for poaching. I'm sure theirs is top notch.
Thanks for at least mentioning it. Maybe they'll be nervous enough to not go back. Maybe...

Also thank you to 4967 for posting those numbers. They're all in my phone now.

Just for future reference, you can go to the TPWD website and look up contact numbers for the game wardens by county. In most counties they are radio dispatched by the Sheriff's Office (in addition to their own net); some savvy anglers (and hunters) put the Sheriff's Office dispatch number into their phones for the different counties where they hunt and fish. Saves a lot of time in an emergency.

I have seen first hand what poachers can do to an area. I was born in Belmont MA and the next town over is Watertown (Boston Marathon bomber suspect caught there and made national news) and they have the Charles River that runs through it. Well they have 3 types of Herring that run up the river to spawn and the Stripers chase them up the river to feed on them. Well foreigners started taking 5 gallon buckets full of Herring when you are only allowed 25 a day on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Then the next year they had to close it down due to all the poachers so they decided to close it down for 5 years to bring the numbers up. Well they illegally poached them still and now they are near extinct in the river which ruined Striper fishing in Boston. To this day it's still closed for Herring. It was the biggest Herring run in the state and they destroyed it. They also took every Flounder and Sea Perch they could catch and now you don't see any Flounder or Sea Perch being caught in the whole Boston area all the way up to Gloucester MA. There are not enough Fish & Game Wardens to go around in the state and I blame the state because they don't want to hire any and when they do they pay them nothing. Now the state has closed down all the Fish & Game field offices and are not doing check ins anymore. So it will be just a matter of time before the Turkey and Deer population is decimated in the state. They also let go all the workers for the offices. I used to be able to go fishing at the beaches in Plymouth MA where my family has a house on a pond across from the ocean. Now I can go weeks before I catch anything in an area that I have fished for 35 years. Hell the fishing party boats are having to give back their customers money due to the whole boat load of people only catching 10 fish. So now they are not running as many boats out because they are losing money. You can thank the poachers who illegally net the Cod in their breeding holes at the time of year when they are protected for that. We used to go out and catch 35" to 45" Cod and now if you catch an 18" Cod then you could win the money pool on the boat for the trip. So glad I left the area and moved back to Texas where my wife is from. I want my kids to be able to catch fish when we go fishing. Poachers suck!!!!
