I'm wanting to get a trolling motor for my new boat, it's a 17' mod-v aluminum boat, I'm wanting to keep it 12v and I'm not sure how much thrust I'm going to need, also I'd like to get the best bang for my buck too. Foot control or hand it doesn't really matter to me as long as it'll get the job done, I'd just like to try to keep it somewhere under $500 if I can. Any and all advice is welcome and greatly appreciated

I can ship via UPS as well. Also have a 36lb thrust hand control bow mount for 150, and a 50 lb 12/24 volt motorguide foot control for 225.
