and the fact they love to bite my jigs solidifies the fact ....THAT ....

larger sepecimens of black crappie in the river are not that common in that area it seems to me
big whites seem to rule when it comes to larger crappie specimens down there
so when i manage a few good black crappie out of there
man is that a good day

brother here is the story ....the bass angler fella that's my bud down there
gives me a run down almost every visit ....
as he was leaving we chatted a bit ....told me yesterday was the you know what !
ketched bass and crappie in bunches ....
but today nada going on ....
to much bait under the bridge it seemed
the auto fish feeder is on and they aint hungry ....
well i was pitching another bait with ZERO success ...not even a peck !
after he left i started up to the truck ....
maybe a jig color change and if that dont work ,,,,see ya
well as i am tying on up by the truck i hear a splash ....
look down and notice fish feeding ....
i think if there are fish on top feeding ...
there might be crappie under them ....?
and sure enough they there were

I paddled/fished that area on Sunday morning and both tires were there then. I caught a few nice crappie but couldn't get a bite around the bridge, all of mine were caught upstream from there.

yes sir I think I seen them Monday ....
but low and behold one was gone yesterday
to be sure river crappie don't hold still much
that's why some days nada and other days there they are
wish I could paddle that spot ....

Just wait till I can walk again. I will be out there just before lunch every day, casting for crappie under that bridge.
