Ball or minnow head jigs? Just curious.
I would rather die finding out there was no God than die finding out there is.

Depends on the plastic i am using
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I have used both. Haven't seen that it makes a difference.

No difference. Angler preference IMHO. I use ball and minnow head and can't tell the difference in bite. Prefer the minnow head though as they move easier through the water when trolling.

The reason I am asking is because I have some minnow head jigs when tied with a loop knot hang horizontal where as the ball heads don't.

Many jigheads are not balanced at all... Might have to use the ol clinch knot on the non balanced heads

I use both...prefer minnow heads, but probably fish with ball head more...with plastics.
