After a little break from fly fishing, I came back and wanted a bit more. Upgraded from my Redington Crosswater 6wt to a TFO Pro Series 2 8wt.
Bought a nice Sage 2280 reel that has been working out great.

I've been using it mainly in freshwater for the big bass, but I took it to the coast once. No luck there but it performed well enough.
Picking up a Native Ultimate next week so no more Canoe fishing!

Cool. I have one same rod, 6 weight. I use it for sandbass, crappie, hybrid in the creeks.

I was thinking about getting the same setup in a 6 wt. I wanted a crossover rod for bass/redfish so I went with the 8wt

Nice rig and fish! Are you getting an Ultimate FX or an Ultimate?
