Although somewhat off topic. I'm considering moving up to a Sea Hunt BX 24 BR. I have seen one on the water but have not been in one yet. I'm on the water every weekend and will move to a coastal area in 4 to 5 years. Does anyone have any experience in these big beauties? Quality, fishability? I know the ride has to be great. looking at 2015 model w 300 yamaha and hard top.
Thanks in Advance!

I looked at one. Went with a Sportsman Masters 247. It was little things that made me choose the Sportsman boat.

Send Diel a pm. Diel has the seahunt with your configurations. I fished on it and its a great boat. Diel is a good guy and good at helping folks also. Good luck! thumb

I have a 2013 BX24BR with the 300. T top from Nautical Stuff.

Cons:

Had a couple of gel coat voids around the deck.

Sea Star steering leaked.

That's it.

Pros:

Sea Hunt took care of the voids even after the boat was out of the cosmetic warranty.

Sea Hunt took care of the steering leak under warranty also.

Rides super dry on high winds, been out at Texoma with 30mph winds and fished.

Yamaha 300 has the command link set up so it's all electronic shifting and throttle. Really good.

Yamaha 300 is better on gas than the 250 (compared head to head with a friend).

Really shallow draft.

Didn't think I would use them but the molded in trim tabs are awesome.

You can fish 4 people without seeing each other (hahahaha)

Running cables and wiring is a snap. Quality switches and connectors.

If you want a ride let me know and we'll meet up. I lake tested Skeeter, Blue Wave, Nautic Star and a couple others.

I have had the 22' for four years now got from whittle boats. I work with them primarily on sea hunts at the boat shows. I have my boat at bayveiw if you would like to check it out and take a ride when it's rough.I can explain to you all the ins @ outs of it.I might even still have a new brochure on them.Sea Hunt is the no.1 salt water boat in the country by a long shot.I can even get you to the store and get you what you want done special. You probably have to order a boat ,will take up to 3 months ,they are not mass produced. The trailers a very nice aluminum 6" I beam
give me a call if you have any questions.

Thank You! I will be sending some PM's. I currently have a 2012 Skeeter ZX 2250 with 250 Yamaha. I love it but before I spend the money to put a t top on from Nautical Stuff, I may do my usual thing. OVERKILL with a bigger boat with a hard top on it. Thanks again, The Sea Hunt seems to sit much higher out of the water but not too high. If I pull the trigger does anyone want a pristine 2012 Skeeter salt water boat? lol........
