I bought some double drop rigs and have had no luck with them at all. (besides feeding turtles) I've used different hooks and different baits with a 3 oz circle weight and tight lining it. I don't usually use leader off the droppers because I tried that once and everything kept getting tangled. Suggestions?

Ditch the double drop rigs and use a santee cooper rig would be my suggestion.

I agree with Santee setup, the three way is also a productive setup

If turtles are around, I would suggest moving to a spot where there are none. They are notorious for screwing up good catfishing.

If you're catching turtles on one rig you'll catch turtles on any rig. As suggested above your best bet is to move to a different spot. Catching a turtle is always my queue to leave if I have the option. That said the Santee rig is a good rig. However, if you're looking for channels then i'd be fishing shallow stucture under a bobber right now.
