Just checked the weather for the next few days and I have 20 MPH winds or near that for the next few days. What a joy to be on the lake in that.

My records for the last 2 years says no it was not, this year is totally different. With Aug a hard month usually it's a good question what it will be this year. My 2 lakes Tex & Tawk are very different from last year.

With all due respect, I could not disagree with you more. I have NEVER had luck in windy conditions.

Been very fortunate, from a weekend only fishermans standpoint, the last month or so because most of the wind has been during the week. Weekends have been really good fishing weather. I agree that the fish bite really good in windy weather. Problem is I don't have I-pilot so I spend most of my time fighting the trolling motor to stay on the fish. I don't enjoy that at all. Tomorrow looks like a good day to get caught up on some work at the farm.

No because we did not have the fronts to stir things up. Wind is created by differences in pressures. Right now we are sandwiched between high pressure systems. Once a high moves overhead and stays the wind will die but guess what else will happen.

I hate wind. In a 17 ft flat bottom sporting a 75 horse the last thing I want to see is 20 mph winds. bang

From my memory, for the past 2-3 years it was windy earlier in the year (e.g. In March/April vs. June). Wind also seems to push bait in certain areas given wind speed/directions. I knew the conditions today and fully planned to get to PK and fish as we did so well in 20-25mph winds last Sunday. Ended up not being able to get away this aft. Other than being a pain to fish in, I have had fairly good luck in the wind if you pay attention to bait movement, etc.
