It is a nice bass but it ain't no 12 pounder- unless you are a certain Lake Fork guide.

I would say 5.5 to 6.5 pounds bud.

Nice 5 lb fish. Not sure how the size of the person in the picture determines the bass weight. If that's the case all my fish are 12 lb'ers

Nice chunk, it's hard to gage weight from most pics but one thing for sure it's not in the DD range.

I would suggest that you test your scale for accuracy. Find a weight of known size in the 5-10 lb. range. A dumbbell weight works well but they are rarely exactly what they claim to be. Take it to a certified scale somewhere (post office will work). Once you have a certified test weight then test your scale for accuracy. With a little math you can determine by what % your scale varies from the test weight. Keep the test weight and you can recheck from time to time to see if your scale is maintaining it's accuracy (or lack thereof). I had this problem last year now I test my scale every few weeks.

It's a wrong way of presentation. You hold it too close to your body, your body is turned so that the bass' tail is going behind you. Chet's avatars give more than correct examples of how to present DDs
