Had the pleasure of fishing with Salsa last winter and man it was truly awesome. Great guy that really busts tail to KEEP you on fish and is a great teacher. Never had a guide that was even close. Through the years I have heard nothing but great things about Tom as well and he has helped me out a ton through this forum when I was first getting started. I don't think you can go wrong with either. If guides aren't your thing don't over look the Trinity river, there are some good sized cats in there in the metromess.
