Headed to lake Eufala for the weekend anyone have any suggestions on where to start. We are staying mid lake. Check out the points north and south of Blocker Bridge. You can get there from Crowder, Bud's Point or Arrowhead state park. There are lots of brushpiles along those banks. If you have sidescan just look for them 8-20' deep. They are catching lots of nice fish dragging jigs around or through those piles. Standing timber can be good one day and off the next but it's that time at Lake Eufaula. For a unique experience drive south to McAlester and then east about 15 miles to Gaines Creek. Loaded with standing timber and brush and usually can get a bunch there when it gets hot. The recent rains may have it pretty muddied up.

There are some submerged bridges you need to know about. I hit one a couple of years ago that shut down my trip up there. They are NOT shown on any map and not on Navionic chips and there are no markings anywhere that they exist. I reported this on the forum and had several responses back saying many boats have been lost hitting these bridges. Trust me, it's like hitting a brick wall and the only thing that saved me was I was idling along when it happened. If I go back I'll get a guide to learn where to avoid these bridges.

Go up to the Oklahoma page on CDC. There is a standing thread on Eufaula with input from a couple of the guides.

ditto on big baits. We used a pair of 1/4 oz lindy heads with large whatsit grubs.Black/pink and black/chartreuse. WAter is like chocolate milk. Caught fish on a point and over some stake beds .I have no clue as where we were tho. Launched at a park in Crowder and went to mleft ( looking at the lake ) not over 2-3 miles.
say what you mean......mean what you say

Hey folks I appreciate it greatly. I'm just gonna pay Barry morrow a 100 bucks to follow rather than spend it in gas. This lake is huge. And the south end looks like chocolate milk. But I will find them eventully that I have no doubt!!
