even 2 lakes and 20 hrs. just sounds like a good time, I was thinking it might level the playing field somewhat.

The Kings of Cowtown format is

Day 1:
Eagle Mountain 6am - 11am
Lake Worth 2pm - 7pm

Day 2:
Grapevine 6am - 1pm

Our Bass Club did a tourney for our Top 6 last November. We fished Cypress, Sandlin, and Welsh. We meant to do 6am to 12 on Cypress, 1pm to 6pm on Sandlin and then the next day did 6am to 12 on Welsh. It was a blast. We stayed together at Sandlin State Park Saturday night. Also, all 6 got a limit at each tourney. The hours may not have ended up that way but that was the plan. LOL

I remember the old Iron man tournaments back in the 80's we had.

It was 24 hours 3 lakes

There were 3 lakes, you had to fish all 3 and in no particular order, but you had 6 hrs on each lake. If I remember right the last one I fished was

Lewisville
Grapevine
Hubbard

This would start at 6 Am and would finish up the next morning at 6 AM and we would all meet at a pre determined spot at 8 am . You had to weigh your catch at each lake before leaving, you never knew who was the winner were until the next morning.

Now this was an Iron Man Tournament

Maybe it should be regional at first BUT like an Iron man competition 30 straight hours of fishing. Yep grind it out through the night dodging the bats....

Then the winners converge on a lake to be named for the championship. Same format.
