During my pours this morning my mind wondered off...for months something had been missing...those annoying phone calls from my team partner at the worst times..I miss them now..
He's currently serving somewhere in this messed up world that chances are I may not even be able to find on a map.
I know he trolls the TFF when he can...I also know he's a fisherman..so much so he's teaching people in a foreign country how to Drop Shot..
If you have a team partner you will shake your head "yes" as you read this:
1) Thanks for always telling me "your going to get wet button up"
2) Thinking about my safety
3) Getting me on the water when I didn't want to be
4) Trusting me with the net
5) Thanks for eating all of those big bags of skittles and not falling asleep on the long drive home.
6) Thanks for teaching me how to back down, run & maintain my boat.
7) Thanks for putting this old man in time out when he needed to be.
8) Thanks for listening to me in the boat
9) Thanks for not giving me a rash for falling asleep before we leave the parking lot.
10) Thank you for being my friend

Great post! I lost my partner to a heart attack in Feb of this year, I've fished with a number of guys since but it's just not the same as your buddy and partner. Hope your partner is safe and returns soon!

So true, team partners are hard to find...you can always find a fishing buddy here and there, but someone who thinks and reads fishing the same is a rare find.

I run a single console Champion, I take it easy on him in the cold (35mph), I see other guys running 70 in January and always make the comment to him, bet his partner is freezing his a$$ off!

This sport brings out the best and sometimes the worst in people. Thanks for sharing a good one.

I too, have experienced a good partner, call him Mr. Patience. Hope to find another that is addicted to fishing soon.
