Well I was out on the Water Thursday morning at Sun up. Light Winds at 10 MPH out of the South. Low OverCast. I figured it would have been an awesome day to Chase some Sandies... Im a Flight Instructor and Flew over the lake the Day before and saw some Sandies between Wolf Island and the Dam on the South Shore Busting. So I Headed there. Marked a mess of them on the Graph, Threw out some Jigging spoons and nothing. Tried Top Water, Trolling Cranks, Ran down to the Main lake Point and Started Throwing Cranks for Black bass in the Trees and nothing. My Two friends were using Minnows with no look either... finally at 11am when we were loading the rods up to head back in a small school of sandies busted next to the boat about (5-10 fish) and I managed one on a rooter tail.
Now that I think back... I never say any Large Mouth Bust the Surface or anything.... Either the weather was Horrible for them, or Something up with the lake... It surprisingly seemed slow for Early Summer. anyone else have any luck this year? Never Really Saw much Bait fish either.
