An 18' Mako CC is very easy to pole so is the 20 from the poling platform. It's all about technique use your weight not arms. I can pole my 18' Skeeter 1400 lbs total it has to have 10" of water to float 12" to run trolling motor. Poling platform is a must. Hells Bay Boatworks waterman imo is the best at this Mavrick also very high end boats. Flats fox makes a nice 18, 20 based on bassboat layout with poling platform they are very nice easy to pole. I'm a little guy with nerve issues in neck and arms I have poled these boats all day with little discomfort. Well not the Maverick. As for weight boats vary so much for me it did not seem to matter nothing compared to the Waterman it was so easy. Now a carbon fiber stiffy push pole is almost 500.00 but worth every penney due to it's light weight and strength. I miss the salty flats. I'm 5'8" 145 lbs 54 yrs old. Hope this helps.
