Ok so I bought waterproof 5050 led strip light to put underneath the rub rail of my bass boat. But my problem is where is everyone drilling the holes to run the wires to the toggle switch? What kind of sealant are yall using for the holes?

I would think you can run the wires up behind the rub rail. I am curiou as to how people are attaching the light strip to the rub rail. I put some in my truck bed and ended up using double stick 3M moulding tape. I bought 2 different strips and the 3m adhesive did not do well on either. I cleaned the surface real well with alcohol.

Clean the surface with alcohol, I used painters tape, spray with 3M adhesive, mount your lights with the attached 3M adhesive strip, coat with several coats of CLEAR flex seal spray, remove painters tape. I drilled the hole at the rear of my boat in the most convenience place for wiring straight to the battery. I drilled the hole just large enough for the wires to pass through and sealed it with the flex seal as well. You could use marine grade silicon also. I also got two remotes, one for each side.

5200 to seal the hole, But I'm not sure to run the wires. Under the rubber rub rail sounds like a good ides.
