Never been down there and look to be flyin solo this time. Have GPS and am not a total rube with a yak but am still kinda green with the salt.

Any area and bait suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. I dont need honey holes or coords just some ideas if ya dont mind.

OR if someone wants to meet even better!

I would suggest...

Boggy and Powderhorn. Live shrimp on popping cork and 3" Gulp Shrimp and the like.

These places are easy launches for a Yak and can be really good fishing at times.

You can access Powderhorn from FM1289 at the Coloma Creek Bridge, or from Indianola which is the entrance from the bay.

Boggy is easy access as well and has cuts to the bay.

Fishing the bay in front of Boggy along the shoreline from Boggy to Broad Bayou is a good place as well.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out. fish

It can get a little busy on the weekends but is almost always worth a try. It's usually best to get there before daylight as it gets busier as the day progresses. Did you try any where else ?

We didn't go to Boggy, lots of waders and kayaks went that way. We hit Pringle, Bill Days reef, Big Bayou, Farwell.
