What a beat down! Water level low, tides insignificant, winds high. Found only small trout and puppy reds. Fished the flats looking for grass, sand and green water. Also chased birds but they too only lead to small trout and ladyfish.

I feel feel for ya. The conditions have been poor lately. When I gave you my thoughts on places to go down there it was based on what I experienced the two weekends before your trip and YAK accessibility, looks like everything is about a month behind this year due to the late fronts and long windy spell we have had. I am going down for the 4th of July weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.
Wish it would have gone better for you but you know what they say......" A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of working"
Good luck and tight lines my friend !

Hey I planned this trip 4 months ago, made reservations and a commitment to be there. It was fun and I got to plot some new routes on the GPS. It's all good - just wore an old man out.
