Decided to take a morning and try my luck, really glad I did,,,msde up a batch of fresh wheatie balls and headed out to my favorite spot on Eastland Lake..I did some chumming with some wheatie balls I had left from a previous trip, and it really seemed to pay off...with in 15 minutes I had hooked 2,,,but lost them right at the bank,,as it turned out this was due to a very dull hook, changed hooks and landed the next few,all about 11/2 lbs or so,wound up catching 5 or 6 this size,,then I hooked a big one

turned out to be 5lbs 2 ounces...24 inches long, sorry the pic isnt that good, but its tuff taking one with a timer,,man he put up a fight, its the biggest I've caught out of this lake and I know there are bigger ones.
anyway heres a couple more I caught..
3lbs 3ounces,,,20 inches

this one was a bit over 2 lbs and was 18 inches long

overall it was a great morning,,but by noon it was way to hot,,,but they were still biting when I left, cant wait till I can get back out there.
