I agree with the above, I had the main photographer in my boat for 3 days. We went pro to pro, not stuck on one all day. We saw Combs, Rose, KVD and more. I saw all the spots on TV today and they are not secret spots. Its amazing how they fish and graph a spot compared to me. I learned a lot.
I fished the spot Combs won it in the Skeeter tournament, I thought it would be packed but it wasn't.

Outstanding show. I really like the format of weighing the bass in the boat and releasing (keeping maybe a couple for the stage) Fun to see the pros grinning ear to ear catching huge fish. The crowd was really engaged and looked to be having a great time. Would love to see more footage; yes, I'm being greedy asking for more than an hour.

Keep an eye on the TxBassClassic youtube site. They will more than likely upload a full video from the 2014 event soon (they have a 50min+ full video of the 2013 event on the site)

Just got a chance to watch it. Very good show. I ran a camera boat on Saturday and Sunday. Saw myself and my boat on the show twice. I was on Matt Reed the final day. Wish they'd shown the giant Matt lost. Also wish the show was more than an hour. With all of the big ones those guys caught, that could easily be two hour-long shows.

Was cool, but I had to hit the Mute button or the IKE button (As I refer to it now).

Yes. Look up NBC Sports

Direct TV is 220 NBCS, @ 11:00AM. It's worth the watch.

Neat to see them on spots I've fished so many times.......that point/road that Russ Lane did so much damage on I've fished a 1000 times.... I'm blessed to have spent 31 years fishing this special lake!

This format is superior to any other tournament format in terms of fish care too........I pray it becomes the norm rather than the exception.

I rode with Brandon Coulter on Day 1 and Fred Roumbanis on Day 2.

Brandon caught them on Day 1 with a Roman Made Negotiator. He had a little over 32 lbs. with it. If everything that followed his bait back to the boat had bit....he would have had over 45 lbs. easy. I have never seen so many bug-eyed beauties up close and personal like that....too bad for him that they didn't commit. Had the tournament been a week or two earlier he very well could have won it as the swimbait bite was dwindling. Yes...the rumors are true that he hooked a 14 lber in practice. Not certified but he showed me the pics.

On Day 2 Fred started in the same place as he did on Day 1...and both days Stetson showed up shortly after and started catching toads. Kevin Sharp and myself witnessed some good sportsmanship and true class that morning. With Fred only having 21+ on Day 1 and Stetson being in 2nd place, Fred decided to yield the spot to Stetson and told him "Good Luck" and to "Win this thing." Pretty big deal seeing as Stetson pulled over 100 lbs in 3 days off of that spot. For the next 4 hours Fred threw a Frog. He caught a 4 1/2 within the first 20 minutes and before he knew it he had trolled down the bank line of Little Caney from Horners Branch all the way to the complete back of it. He sat on the deck, popped open a Monster, ate a Cliff Bar and then asked me how in the heck he ended up way back there.
We both laughed and then he said that this tournament was being won deep and he is in he back of a creek. He called himself a few expletives and then we were off. We ran all the way out of Little Caney and then up into Caney to a well known pond dam. He tied on an Ima Beast and caught 29 lbs in 45 minutes.

Those pros amaze me every time I watch them on tv. They have an extra sense that they use for fishing! Lol!

It amazed me as well, I rode with Adrian Avena on Day 2, he was on a huge school of bass and catching them left and right for about 30 mins and up comes Jason Christie and they talk and say how they were catching them here on Day 1, Adrian tells him "ive got them fired up, we can just take turns." This completely floored me about how nice they were to eachother and it just seemed like a few guys out fishing a club tournament. Jacob Powroznik rolled up later and all 3 guys shared this one hole with no complications and jokes all around.

Later that day, another hole was shared in the same manner with Cody Meyer and Brent Ehler as well. A bunch of great guys and I am looking forward to Judging again. And to reiterate this again, both pros I was with were fishing community holes, Ive only fished Fork the past year or so and knew of these spots. Fork isnt gonna die anytime soon.
