Ive tried a few gimmick lures and have found that they usally not worth the money .
Recently I bought the tightlines 40 pcs assorted lureskitand I got to admit they really do seemto catch more thanthe equivalent non-uv . I was using one of there small 5 inch worms in a moss green color and had caught 4 sunnies and five little 7-8 inch bass whenI had to stop to fix a knot inmy line. Allof a sudden my rod bends in half and beforr I canrecover a get a good grip on my pole theline just snaps . Thankfully or I thought I had anouther worm same size and color butnot UV I strung it(drop shot) andwent on fishing I gota couple of bites but the frenzy of only minutes before seemed to have died on a whi. I climbed back up the hill and got another UV lure switched itout and it was game on again . Just tobe sure I rpeated the experiment acouple of times and there was a marked difference in the umer of bites . I don't know if its the UV or theodd petroleum scentbut they really work.

Never tried em. I usually use the Berkley power worms when fishing artificial. eeks The other day I was fishing with Fred "Rionator" and we were nailing Bluegill with Berkley power worms, small jigs, and small spinner baits. hooked After about 30 minutes of non stop action the Gills totally stopped taking the artificial baits. nuts We switched to the bait of champions the all American night crawler and the bite was non stop again. hmmm The Gills kept on biting the live worms all the time. dance2 Hard to figure out why they would suddenly stop taking the artificial but kept on biting the live worms. noidea

My nephew was killing them on the hot pink slab hammer cranks . He just gets a kick out of using cranks.
