Thinking about getting a 7' heavy, was wanting some opinions on this rod. Currently using a Abu Garcia Veritas.

I've been using a 7' MH for the last few years for a deep cranking rod and I like it a lot.

I have a couple of Mojo Bass rods. I like them. they're really sensitive. Only complaint is they're a little on the heavy side. But very good rods, especially for $100.

I bought and ended up returning the Mojo Spinnerbait rod. Beautiful rod and comfortable grip. A little on the heavy side but the deal breaker was I wanted on with a softer/faster tip. The Veritas 7 ft and 7ft 3in are great for spinnerbaits.
For the same dollar amount you spend on the Mojo rod buy yourself a Falcon Bucco Micro rod.

I have both. I use the 7' Veritas "Heavy" for my worm rod w/ a ABU Revo SX and set my PB on my recent Falcon trip 4 times. Catching 5--6+ pounders and not missing the hookup at all. I use the St Crois MH fast for my weightless rod matched up with an ABU Revo STX and I can throw it with 17# line wherever I want. both are great rods if paired with the right reel & line and used in the right way. I like the Veritas a little better though.

Gonna be the odd man out here. While St. Croix is a top notch company and they do build some very fine rods, the Mojo series ain't one of them. They are very heavy and lack sensitivity. The sensitivity part is my opinion from owning a couple but the weight is factual. I weight all my rods on a digital scale and they were 20-30 percent heavier than my comparable Powell or Loomis rods. In that price category there are better choices.

I have one spinnerbait, one swimbait and one worm-jig model and have not had any trouble out of them, they seem to be fairly sensitive and stout although a little heaver than others. I bought 4 TFO rods at the legends tournament for $50 each. I liked the weight and sensitivity of the 7'3" MH but went out and my wife was landing a 3# fish and it snapped in half. While she could have done a better job of landing the fish, I don't think the rod should have broke. With that being said I'd rather have a little heaver rod that take a chance on one breaking when trying to land a big bass.

I bought a St Croix Mojo for drop shot…..love it. Slightly heavy as some stated, but a solid rod for the $$$.

Although I am happy with mine, I will say, if I buy another rod in the $100-$120 range, it'll be a 13 Fishing Omen. Just as sensitive if not more so, and way lighter.
