help me change my mind, i like aquariums i guess but i sure do hate seeing the striped bass swimming back and forth, back and forth who is used swimming the wide open waters ripping up baitfish, now he is just sitting in a glass box. that goes for the rest of the fish, none look healthy, i mean maybe i am being sentamental or something but i would rather see em in the frying pan than just looking unheathly and unnatural. I mean do you guys rotate them, i mean like to they do a stretch and then are released with their belongings or do the get life in a glass box. I dont know maybe i shouldn't say what i think. I am a biology major myself, feel the same ways about zoos and the circus...guess i am having an internal conflict here..anyone else feel the same??

Cool, you got an American Eel? Where did it come from?
Aww, you're getting rid of the Alligator Gar? That's a shame, those things are awesome! They are one of the rarer of the gar species too right? ( To say nothing of the largest. ) And something some of the other Cabela's stores around the country won't have, unless they're "imported".
What are you going to do with them?
Chain or Grass Pickeral would be cool though, cute little guys. Lol.

GWB, for the most part, the fish are better off in our aquarium than they are in the wild. We feed them regularly, and reduce the chance of them dying of bacterial infections. We have also taken away the possibility of them being caught again. We're trying to educate the public about fishing, especially to take care of the fish when they catch them. When people see a hybrid swimming around, it gets them excited about fishing, and they go to the lake. It's mostly about the kids, though. We're working to create future fishermen that don't abuse the fish they catch. It's all about preserving the sport of fishing.
Starless, the eel came from Lavon. It's swimming around in our spotted bass tank. She's a real beauty. As for the gar, we're getting rid of two of them. One is a rogue gar that sometimes goes after the bass, despite the fact that we've trained the others to just eat sunfish. The other one is going so we can make room for stuff like sturgeon and paddlefish. We're donating them to the Houston Aquarium.
