I am fishing Toledo Bend next week for the first time and staying at Fin and Feather. I was just wondering if there is any special type of bait I should take? Thanks for any advice.

Brian

Being this is your first trip there, I'd suggest hiring Darold Gleason for the first day. He's a very savvy guide and will show you everything you need to know about the lake. That is, IF he's not booked up.

Wee. We're there a few weeks ago and we fished with Darold for a day.We caught a lot of fish on c-rig with flukes and baby brush hogs.fished at the six mile area and south house Bay Area lots of deep grass and pads.Have fun and stay on the buoys when on pad.

Tow your rig to Alpine marina and fish that arm, lots of area to fish and you can spend all day there.

Where you are staying has a lot of good points with grass on them. Hit those points and fish about 15'-17'. Texas rig V&M wildthang in redbug.
