I enjoy the solitude of the lake. If I wanna hear music I go to the carwash where there is always someone there that seems to think everybody wants to listen to their music. The same goes for the wake boats.

It did not work when I bought the boat! My dad use to have a 99 and I remember us using the flasher back in the day though!

The older flasher were cool. The one in my boat sucks. But heck ya man we used to look for sandbass with the old school one back in the day and wait for that thing to start lighting up!

I have a portable Bose Bluetooth speaker. It will turn up a lot louder than you need it and sounds real good too. And it's not permanent

I have a portable blue tooth as well. Just runs the battery down on my phone pretty fast.

This...when crappie fishing! They make portable (chordless) chargers for smart phones now, you can get about two full charges out of them. Something to think about?

I have a Kenwood with some marine speakers. I'm prob gonna invest in some better speakers. I like to listen to it when I'm running. If its on when fishing its low. Caught plenty of fish with the radio on.

I have the Sony receiver/speaker combo from bass pro shops. This is the second season I've had it. It's very nice and a good value. I added a Sirius receiver to it this year. It's nice to have. Don't listen all the time. Sometimes I do just want silence and I try and respect other people around me too.

Make sure wherever you install it to be careful when you wash the boat. I've ruined two stereos with the water. I have this one installed in the glove box in my Nitro bass boat.

Not sure about the affect on fish.

I'm a firm believer in the old adage, "if you see a storm coming, it's too late" so make landfall quick! frkazoid Got caught on little Lake Arlington a long time ago fishing with my son our of my then 24' pontoon boat. Man, pulled up two anchors, cranked up and no, we didn't even make it to shore. So, my reasoning for saying yes to a radio BUT, one with weather alerts.
Most of ya'll have smart phones now with weather alerts but, LOL, again, I'm old school, my cell phone will talk and take a picture and I have NO data plan.
So no weather warnings that way....
God Bless
