I have been asked several times why I haven't been posting reports here on the TFF lately, so I figured its about time. There have been reports for Fork posted nearly every day, so there just hasn't been much of a need for one laugh It has been a great year so far, and the best for big fish that my customers and I have had yet.

We just wrappred up the Skeeter Owners Tournament here, and what a fantastic event it was! I believe there were 28 bass over the slot weighed in, and that is very impressive for a two day event. It was so much fun getting to know the contestants and other legendary Skeeter owners like Harold Allen and Mark Menendez.

The deeper bite has been good for me as long as the sun is shining. This time of year when we have cloud cover the deeper fish seem to suspend and dont group up as well. I am looking for fish in a variety of depths depending on the area of the lake, but a good starting point is 15-25'. Because the thermocline hasnt set up yet, we can still find fish in much deeper water. I just watch my graph and try to get a feel for the depth the shad want to be for the given area and go from there.

The majority of big fish we have boated lately have been on crankbaits or Mark Packs football jig. On the football jig I am using Fierce Melon and Mean Green colors with a matching trailer. Pack's jigs are available on Tackle Warehouse now, so it will be a bit more convenient to order them.

These are some nice ones caught so far this June, and I expect many more to come.

Good report Grills! You have amazing instincts and seem to be around big fish more times than not. My 2 trips with you this year have been the best I have ever had out there. Look forward to many more over the years to come.

Like the report, thanks young man. But I REALLY like the last picture, panoramic wide screen of the lake and fishermen on it near shores. That is beautiful. Is that Lake Fork as well?
God Bless

Thanks 'smd to all fish'. Sure is a pretty view of the lake. Yes, sure seems like he is for such a young man. The folks he is 'guiding' are showing some really nice catches.
Good angler to say the least.
God Bless and Thanks Shipmate

Yes Lee, one of my customer's took that last week while we were fishing. I thought it was a great pic.
