O.K. Here's the details:

Event will be held on the 12th of July, at Lake Palestine.. As stated on another post Dominick Pescatore (Raptor) has opened up his Community launch and grounds... We will be getting directions up soon... If interested in going you will need to send $5.00 per person with names (full) to Dominick at:

Dominick Pescatore
104 Williamsburg Lane
Bullard, Texas 75757

This will assure Dominick that your going to attend and he'll be able to get a guest list to the gate attendant... (Gated community)
Also it allows him the chance to go buy supplies. (Add boat or no boat, back seat open, backseat closed to your info..)
Deadline will be July 6th....
Please feel free to P.M. either me, Pappa Mark, or Raptor...

O.K. Fishing will start at 6:30 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. we will meet at the ramp clean fish and let the frying begin..
Special Guest Mr. Crappie, Wally Marshall will be in attendance and will fish with Jacob Weems..
After the festivities Wally has agreed to give a siminar on fishing different structures..
Be sure and get your names and money in to Dominick so the gate attendant will have your name on the list, this is the only way you'll get into the gated community..
Those coming by boat just put in the cords posted...

Google Earth. 32 9.389 N 95 26.492 W This is the location of the Emerald Bay ramp. It is in Saline Bay Mid lake. Just south of the long 155 bridge. Emerald Bay gate house entry 32 9.778 N 95 25.603. Gate is manned 24-7.

Thanks all, see ya there...

Sounds like there is a ramp with parking. What's the earliest we can get in and what part of the lake is this? Never mind on the what part of lake. http://mapq.st/1oEtXER Depending on the answers, I may launch somewhere else then drive over to clean fish and shoot the breeze. Thanks to everyone for putting this on. thumb

Just a thought! Since this isn't competition, and the whole point is for TFF'ers to get acquainted, why don't us locals offer a back seat to any TFF'er from afar, so they don't have to haul a boat 100+ miles. I can think of 7-8 off the top of my head that live within 30 minutes of a launch on Palestine, and most of us are within 30 min of Raptor's place, including myself. Two other ideas, no competition involved, but as folks confirm they'll be here, have them specify BOAT with EMPTY BACK SEAT, or, NO BOAT. Then, at the kick-off, have a partner draw. And finally, if it's alright with everyone, I'll see if I can get my hands on a roll of Name Tags so each of us can have a sticker visible showing a screen name & a street name. WADAYA THINK?

Using the site for a while...this is really great to share fishing ideas and success with others.

Though I have a boat, I love the idea of not having to haul mine. I'm more than 100 miles away. I'll keep my eye open for how many people need rides and how many boats have open back seats.

I hope to make the trek over...

127 miles/ 2 hours 5 mins.

What would be the closest place to rest my head if I drove in on Friday.
