This might have been asked and answered but what is the best bait for lake conroe bass? We got a new boat and I want to catch something!

Thanks

Hey mike, a 6 inch zoom watermelon red trick worm is about as good a bait as there is. fish it on spinning gear , and 8 pound test line with a split shot about 18 inches up the line. Just throw it out and inch it along the bottom. When you feel anything that you didn't do, crank back on that rod to set the hook. Have fun.
