I have Mercury and loved it. This colorful design looks pretty good I admit. I wouldn't mine have the color that will matched my boat.

I may start designing custom cowlings for these motors. If this thing turns out to be the motor they claim it is, I could make a fortune selling good looking cowlings to fit.

No kidding. Looks like a cheap motorcycle gas tank.

Mine is just a 150 but I have been out 10 times on one tank of fuel. That includes 3 trips to fork and running a long way.
I've had the boat sense November last year and only have had to add oil to the oil tank one time.

Automatic trim? I don't like the sound of that. Can someone explain?

I read that and assumed it can be set to the sweet spot to take the guess work out of "Trimming for Dummies."

I'll take this one on my new bay boat.

White bay boat ... question is ... will white or black Power-Poles look better with it?

Realistically, I probably wouldn't buy one for a few years while they work out the kinks.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

The drag racing world has been using trim timers and computers for a long time now.

I'm sure it will be something like that. Set your top trim level and bump it and it trims to there and stops.

Would be really cool on a production consumer model..

I like the way it looks, but the proof will be in the puddin'...i.e., how it performs.

Looks like replacing the powerhead may be a pita. Maybe they have engineered it to run on this junk fuel better than merc and yamaha have done so far though.

with that much torque I have to wonder how it will affect jack plate size also how much do they weigh?

I like it, now they need to do a 175 or I need a bigger boat.
