I have been trying deep out they're the last few weeks with no results. fished most of yesterday afternoon, no bites, blamed it on the moon also. Went back out last night from 10 till 2 am still no bites. Trying to figure out what to blame it on now. Have not tried shallow because I prefer to fish deep so I may just be killing myself. Hope someone chimes in that has had some luck lately.

We fished shallow most of the morning Saturday with only a couple of small fish. I don't fish pines much in the summer so I have no clue on where or what

I hope someone chimes in too. I have that same weekend tourney, and because my boss is in Paris (France, not Texas) so I can't head out there until Friday AM (very AM). It will be my first time on the lake.

And to hijack my friend here: Are the boat lanes pretty clearly marked? I assume like Fork and Toledo, I shouldn't run if I don't know, and stay as centered in the Boat lane as reasonable.

The lake is finally full so the boat lanes are fairly safe, stay about 15 ft off the side of the poles that the marker is on(only one side of the poles has been cleared) There are many areas of stumps which are barely under the water, looks like open water right now but thousands of stumps about 1ft underneath. The north half of the lake in nearly covered in stumps except for boat lane, the south east end there is a lot of open water but the south half of the south end is almost all stumps until you get past the island view point going towards the dam. I know where the stumps are, too bad I don't know where the fish are.

Thank you for the advice, I don't have a tournament but at least I won't be beating my head against the wall trying to make them bite deep. Good Luck Sandtrap and David.

I was on a lot of fish Sunday, but couldnt get much to bite. Sonar had large balls with many returns for decent fish. Caught a few small bass (8") but nothing else. Tried everything from cranks to spinner baits, only caught the 2 on minnows in about 12-15'.

If anyone figures out what's up, let me know.
