How do you tag you jugs or trot lines other than writing directly on a jug?

Cut up a bleach bottle into tags and zip tie them on your lines.

I cut squares out of coke cans, hit it with a hole punch, and then "engrave" my info with a hardball pen. I hook it to a swivel on the mainline.

I use white duct tape and a marker and tape it around my jugs, when I go again I just take off the old one and put on a new one, I've never had any issues

Thanks guys. Magg'd got a family vacation on the Colarado Ri. coming up and I haven't done any jugging since I was a kid and that's been a long time ago and on Brady Creek at that.

I had a Game Warden stop me about gear tags and got out of a ticket by using a plastic Solo cup split in three's. After that I sure tried to do better. For Jugs I just put a pice of duck tape on the jug with all the info on it. pull the tape when your finished.

I've done the coke can thing also...works great....try using that technique on "certain" plastics also..like the thin white milk jugs...just use a piece of hard wood underneath when writing.

Buy some ear tags for cattle at a feed store. They work great.
