Thanks Wayne! Lovely..... They should fix that... Or just make it smaller and a lot more transparent. Soooo, how do I make it look like that one above?? In the Sonar Tab in Master Menu (Hit Menu Twice) scroll down to SI Readouts and turn to off.

Is it better to run straight off the battery or to go through the power supply off of the dash panel for my 360? Or does it really matter at all?

It is always better for electronics to have their own dedicated power connection to the battery, but the 360 may do OK connected to the boat wiring harness.

I have a humminbird 1198 and would like to know what my settings should be for offshore bottom fishing in 80-150 ft range of depth. For right now I only use the 2D settings. the down scan and side scan are a bit too much for me right now, once I get the 2D set I can compare on the screen the other views. I have a hard time marking ledges and seeing fish that I know are there. What should be my sensitivity, chart speed, frequency, noise filter, power etc.? I am not sure what switchfire is. Clear or max? Also bottom lock? And structure scan?
Too many features... I will learn them, but need to get in the right direction.
Thanks a million!

Can I change the color on my 360 screen or is the brown color the only color?

Hello, I just bought a HB 1199 and put in a Navionics Plat chip and 8 GB SD card. While trying to save waypoints it would come up with an error "Cannot save to navionics chip" or something to that effect..does the avionics chip have to be removed every time you upload a chart to the HB? I thought the Navionics chip could be left in without any issues as long as a formatted SD card was left in the other slot??

Make sure "snapshot" is turned off Even if I have a formatted sd card in the slot with a navionics chip in the other? It still needs to be off?

If you have a memory card in one of the card slots, it should save a waypoint with an "S" prefix every time you push the Mark button and also save a screen shot on the card in a Snapshot folder. If you do NOT have a memory card installed and Snapshot is turned on, the unit will not save a waypoint. To get a "W" prefix waypoint, you have to have Snapshot turned off with or without a memory card installed.
