Weather was rough yesterday, but got out for a few hours with neighbors kid to chase carp. He wants to learn to catch one on a fly and I was more than happy to help. We knew it was going to be difficult, but thats never stopped anyone from trying. The rain and wind made sight fishing almost impossible. After an hour or so I chose success over boredom and gave him a spinning rod.

He caught 3 and I finally picked up one.

I've met him on the water. We both have fishing in our blood, so maybe we are cousins.

Very cool.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
