Just curious if the fishing in the salt marshes right off of HWY45 before crossing the bridge is any good. I see people out there sometimes with cast nets for bait and I have seen a small pier. Any reds or other edible fish in there?

Nice, I think I will go give it a shot tomorrow. Do you have any idea on the water depth for inshore fishing? I was thinking about running a popping cork and DOA shrimp or maybe some weedless spoons. Any tips are appreciated.

I remember it being just under two and a half feet. We used Gulp under a cork and just kept popping it. White 3" Gulp shrimp.

Awesome, thanks. I'm going to hit up academy and bass pro today and I'll pick up a half pint of gulp. The white worked better for you than new penny?
