Had a good time on Palestine this morning, especially on Kentucky bass and some nice ones. The fish really turned on right before the storm ran us off the lake. Caught fish on yellow magic and soft plastics all morning. I don't hear much on the forum about Palestine reports so I thought I would give ya'll one. If this is a clue you don't always have to go to Kickapoo or the stumps to catch good fish.

Just about every point near the Dam will hold Kentuckys, they eat all day long there!

Good for you. What is lake level. Be there this Saturday. Love the top water bit. Suggestion for plastics color flipping boat houses. Thanks for the post.

Hope I can be of some help I have fished Palestine since 1976 and I am a part-time guide on the lake when I can. I have been catching fish early and late on a baby bass colored yellow magic and the soft plastics include Berkley Power worms in the blue fleck color, Lake Fork Creature bait also in blue fleck which is really a dark grape color. I have been catching some solid fish especially on overcast mornings right up against some of the bulkhead retaining walls next to deep water and boat houses. The bass have really bit good before these thunderstorms we've been having. Good luck and good fishing!

Caught most of ours last weekend on shakey head around docks. Wife caught a couple on swimming fluke jr, texas rigged. Biggest just under 3#. Too windy to target deep fish last weekend. Tried top water around the submerged grass but nothing for me. Lot of perch in the beds right now. They will drive you crazy pounding your shakey head. Bass are usually pretty close by those perch beds. Green pumpkin with tail dipped in chartreuse. 6# fluorocarbon.
