I'm in the market for a bass boat and REALLY thinking of buying a bullet 20xds with a 225 proXS, I know they are built great, cool looking and have a great layout but I'm getting mixed information on rough water ride. Can some of you please give me info about how bullets do in rough water to help me make a decision?

I've had two 20XD's. They are great on the east coast lakes but if your going to stick around Texas and want a dual console I would get a 21XDS or XRDS. The difference between a 20 and 21 is night and day as far as rough water rides. In a 20 your the fastest on the water....when it's rough your the slowest.

Ok, I'm getting a good deal on the 20 xdc and that's the main reason for that boat. I've looked around some and I'm just not that impressed with the boats out there right now that I can afford, there's no way I could ever spend $55000 or more for a bass boat, I have too many other things that require my hard earned money.

I have had several and my favorite was a simple 20xd with a 225 pro max. Rode good in any water, was fast, and fished as well as any boat I have ever had. This probably rates as one of my favorite boats of all times. I had no complaints about rough water ride and I had it at Fork, Rayburn, and Toledo Bend.

I like the more narrow beam, the design, looks and layout, I've never even ridden in a bullet but I know guys that own them talk very highly of them and most are die hard bullets owners. I'm looking at a new 2013 20xdc with a 225 pro max that's never been put in the water. Looks like I can get it for about $39,000, that a decent deal? Dual console, jackplate, tandem trailer, cover, ect. Only thing it doesn't have is off the wall electronics which I honestly like. I'm a bass fisherman....I fish horizontal, lol it's my job to locate them and that's the fun of it! I need to know depth and that's it. I may eventually put gps on it

+1.

Unlike me, I tend ta go through boats like I USE ta go through wives n underwear, my bud still has his 20/225 PM he bought new in '94. Just flat out wore out two long blocks fishin' every kinda water in all kinda conditions possible and always got home.... Rough water is all in how ya approach it anyway. If ya wanna brag 'bout be able ta run on top of REAL 3/4 FOOTERS and beat hell outta it then tell everyone how good it rides then that's great..........jmo

This was my last and one of my favorites! Just don't believe everything ya see! Hint: XR6

Lol I'm thinking I'll keep it as is for a bit. I'm thinking it will be an 80+mph boat with the right prop and jackplate setting, don't y'all think? I'm kind of affraid to do to much to it, I'm affraid I'll get stupid in it...

You need the sporty on that boat period unless you never plan on opening it up. I bet if you told them the lower was a make or break deal they would swap it out. It's been for sale for about a year I looked hard at that boat but to much red for me,

The 20 footers have a problem keeping the nose down in rough water. The 21 footers are better for rough water. The 21 footers are almost 22 foot long.

Not a bullet guy but that is really impressive especially considering the price for new.
