Nothing of any size yet. Fish are scattered from 12' to 18' in milifoil. Still about 2 weeks away from a true summer grass bite. Today was the 1st day I actually noticed some grass is emergent. Once it thickens up a bit more il lose the leader and go straight braid til winter. Note: the 1st fish in vid was a swing and miss, the critter hit it again as bait was falling back down resulting in a shake off. Last fish was lost due to drag slippage....always check your drag throughout the day to avoid this. But as you can see, punch fishing is absolutely do-able in a yak. Currently Im using a 3/4 oz bait but will very soon start building 1's and 11/1oz's. I had to work it down today.

Great video Kent. Some real nice heifers grazing out there in that field! Is that Hooligan Bass bomb kind of like a Super fluke?

Ben, thanks for watching. The Hooligan Bass bomb is the punch bait itself. The big fluke is the trailer. I started making these things last year for myself and just gave them a name.

Good fish! I need to get better at the punch bite. I learned the jig last year. This year will be the punch.
