I'm interested in finding someone, too. I used to take everything to Robert's Reel Repair on Front Street before he shut down. Robert Starks has done some work for me, too.
You would think that in the biggest city in East Texas, right in the middle of Lake Country, there would be a rod and reel repair shop.

Agreed, but it is a lost art here I guess? I use Tackle-Right at Lake Fork for all rod and reel repairs, it seems to be the closest and he comes to Tyler often for appointments and family business.

I agree. He does a fantastic job with both rod and reel repairs. He is the only one I go to now for that.

Robert Starks always did all mine when I lived in Tyler. He was so good and such a good guy that I still take my reels to him on my way from College Station to Fork.
I hate to hear that he may not be cleaning reels anymore.
His name on the forum is "catchesbass". You might be able to find him on here.
Good luck.
