Humm....IMO that's sorta strange that I "have to fish in a grp of 3" people. What if the other 2 people in the grp fish in a complete different manner? Also I am fishing against those guys so why would I want them in my water?

Seems like a strange concept to me. I'd like to make the Waco event but not if I will be holding hands and making smores next to two other yaks.

I agree with Chris. If Im fishing a tournament and I have money on the line fishing with a group of 3 doesnt sound like a good idea. That means you couldnt go off and fish away from them and you owuld probably have to fish different than you planned. Not to mention the fact the other 2 guys could see what you are using and start using your techniques. And then the other fact that since you wouldn't be able to fish very far apart in case you caught a big one and need it "verified" by the others in your group you would be crowded and fishing the same waters. Just doesnt sound like a very good concept for a bass tournament IMO.

I agree with Nathan and Chris. Very strange format that seems more troublesome than using an unique identifier and a photo. I've also never heard of a kayak fishing tournament using this format either, Florida or otherwise.

Its just an invite not a tournament . Ive done the picture and identifier thing. Im just looking for a low maintence ,low cost solution. Fishing in a group to confirm your catch will keep others honest and also allow people to learn from each other. You guys could be right ,will find out in a few weeks.Just a different format from the usual . But some people might just wanna come fish for fun ,not compete and that's fine.

I understand your point of view.....but again I pose the question "Why would I want to fish right next to 2 other individuals"? If I know you and we are just out there killing time....that's one thing.....a tournament is another. Secondly, there is a difference between showing/teaching individuals and sitting there showing them how to catch your fish. Third, I'll say it again......different people fish different ways. I'm an off shore guy. If I got stuck with two bank beaters that wanted to pitch to the same dock in 2FOW.....I'd be headed back to the truck to drink some cold ones instead of following tweeedle dee and tweedle dum around.

I can appreciate thinking outside of the box......but I think this is one of those times where it's not broke....so don't fix it.

According to facebook the Big Bass Kayak Slam is hosted by Brazos Kayak Adventures rolleyes

I am pretty sure the owner/operator of BKA is permenantly banned from this and most other Texas kayak fishing forums for creating multiple accounts among other things..

But I will assume Guadalupe202 (green horn) is not this individual...
