Never used one, but you look like a bank robber if you wear one...

I would imagine they are excellent at keeping the sun off you... I just wear a hat and sunscreen...I dont wanna look like a bandito.

Wear one every time on the water for two years now. They actually help keep me cooler.

I don't like tight-fitting clothing, so BUFFs are out for me.

keep my neck and ears from getting burned. I usually still roast my nose and cheeks but at least its partial coverage. I also like wearing the gloves if I have a clean pair.

I have & use one, along with the gloves. Being a coach & out in the sun a lot there as well, it REALLY helps keep the sun off my neck ears & nose as well as the gloves keeping the sun off of my hands. I never go fishing any more without a long sleeve microfiber t-shirt, buff, gloves, & big brimmed cap.....had we had these things 10 years ago I would have worn them then as well. Glad we have them now.

I am with Fouz on the tight clothing but I hate putting on sunscreen even more. I have 3 different ones I wear. The Columbia brand seems to be the lightest, coolest, and LEAST tight of the three. Started wearing the gloves too, nothing like "farmers tan hands" in the summer.

Wont go fishing without it, it will cause some fogging of the sun glasses and its hard to spit through

Love the Buff merchandise, I have the gloves and neck gaitor. They do make these in XL and not tight at all. They really do work great!

I wear one while fishing and mowing the lawn. They are too easy to use and really work. I have several and just throw them in the wash and they are good to go.

I just wear it around my neck during summer, I can't stand having it on my face, bu I wear a big straw hat so it keeps the sun off me pretty good.

Check out the simms buff, it is not tight at all and very lightweight, can wear it in 100+ degree weather no problem. You have to keep reapplying sunscreen which can get on your hands and your baits, the buff is constant protection

All the time a bit tight but better than getting burnt I cant stand putting sunblock on my face.
