It REALLY pains me to do this. There is nothing about this boat that I don't like. Nothing. The guys at OutBack Kayaks have treated me so well I feel like I'm betraying them. But I'm reprioritizing some things right now, and have spent most of my fishing time in our Shoalwater or banking it close to home. We are in the middle of a small remodel at home, just got married, and while I'm getting the opportunity for advancement at work, that comes with a company (tiny, hotwheels sized) car, and I'm pretty sure I'll be offloading my truck as well to get rid of the payment. With all that said, I won't be giving this boat away, but I will make somebody a good deal.
Frontier 12 Specs seen here:
http://www.nucanoe.com/nucanoe-frontier/My thoughts on the boat: It handles like a MUCH smaller boat. Paddles great. I am 6' 2" and 250lbs and can walk all over this thing, throw a castnet, fly fish standing up, blah blah blah. No need for a leaning post or bar or anything. Or even a stand assist strap. Just stand up from the high seat mount. The hull alone is only like 77 lbs and not too much for one person to move around alone. 650# weight capacity is more than you could ask for. There is a piece of foam (provided by NuCanoe) inside the hull of the boat for added stability in the deck, and rods can be run down each side of it. The 30lb Minn Kota pushes this boat all day at a good speed. The motor can be mounted on the back (transom plate included) or up front on the DIY mount I made. Minor oyster rash, but there is one spot where the kayak was damaged in shipping, and repaired by the dealer under instruction from NuCanoe. I did buy this boat new, with a warranty (I doubt the warranty transfer though). The spot was a bad gouge, and was repaired by the dealer with the same plastic the kayak is made of.
This boat comes with a Title and is registered until Dec(?) 2015s
Quick run down on accessories:
-Max 360 seat with rigid (tall) seat base
-Low seat base; bench style on one side, flip it over and I have another quick release swivel base for another boat style seat(available through OutBack Kayaks or a generic boat seat from academy)
-Sliding dashboard w/ 3 mighty mounts and a transducer arm
-4 mighty mount ram balls, and 3 rod holders (the ram balls fit into the mighty mounts as well as the slide track that runs the full length on both sides of the boat; every accessory for this boat is completely adjustable by use of the freedom track on both sides)
-motor mount plate
-Custom made (by yours truly) front motor mount (fits into the freedom track like other accessories)
-Igloo Marine Cooler
-Milk Crate
-275cm NuCanoe paddle
-Folding harbor freight stand (puts boat about waste level, comes in handy for rigging and what not)
-Screwed in D-rings, zig zag anchor cleat, and paddle holders around the boat (provided by NuCanoe)
I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting some stuff.
Optional:
-30lb thrust Minn Kota w/ custom short shaft
-18" tiller handle extenstion (front mount)
-30" tiller handle extenstion (rear mount)
-12v battery
-battery charger
Sorry for the long winded post. Again, I love this boat, but I am stepping away from kayaking for an undetermined amount of time. Sad day, I know. I'm not interested in trades, and am pretty firm with my price. I can best be reached by PM or txt at 832.221.5049.
I'm asking $1500 w/ everything minus the trolling motor package, or $1600 for everything w/ the trolling motor package.
