I'm excited as can be that the south pool is full and very excited that the north pool has risen over 17ft! But seeing how it's el Nino this year I hope toed will restock this awesome fisherie in the hopes that it will continue to rise and there will be a good supply of fish for when the ramp is touching again!..we hope haha...the shad seemed to have spawned immediately after the rise because there were balls of them everywhere yesterday! Any word if they will stock it now?

I know nothing official, but I can almost guarantee they won't stock it. It wasn't stocked a few years ago when it was over 80% full. . .they know its just going to be sucked dry by Nasworthy.

I wish they would let that mud hole of a lake dry up and keep buttes as full as they can and then let what water out they had too

I'm with ya man. I love TB, it used to be an amazing bass fishing lake. It still has some big fish in it. A guy I know was out in a kayak before the rains last month and caught a 7 and a 9 in the same day. And guys have been catching giant yellow cats out there still, 50+ lbs. I'm just glad it has enough water to fish again. I can't wait for my next trip down there to see it.

Before it came up I had a 5, 6, 8, and a 10 in the same day on one rocky channel bend and then never found another bite and we didn't catch any in the new grass after this good rain

Is there a ramp available now on the north pool or do you have to put in on hard pack?

wonderful fishery....I caught my first DD from the shore in 1994....10 inch Berkley Power worm in motoroil.....dragging it slowly....first weekend in June during the old KGKL big bass tourney....I was not entered but I would have cashed a really big check with that fish!!!!

My 9th grade history teacher, Greg Benson, still holds the lake record at 14 or 15 something....I remember when he caught that fish....it was a hoss.

wonderful lake.

Wow I had no idea the south pool was full. I thought the North pool had only caught 5 feet. What great news. I'd love to see what it looks like. I may have to schedule a San Angelo trip.

Great lake hope it makes it back. Got LOTS of great memories of Twin Buttes and North Concho and Greg Benson from 70's and 80's. Great times lots of good people ----- Greg, Baumann brothers, Jim Mahon, Ken Wilson, and many others too many years ago to recall. We were very fortunate with pretty full lakes and good fishing.

Last I checked the water was just touching it. But that was before the EQ quit flowing.

Cool thanks man. Have you done any fishing out there or have you been sticking to Ivie?

I would like to see that lake come on up. I loved fishing back in the Spring Creek area around the grass and trees. At one time I had my largest bass from TB. Had some great days on TB playing hooky from work,,,LOL

Catch em, kiss em, let em go
