The lake is full and the started off cloudy, but it warmed up in a hurry. Fishing was a little slow. My buddy managed to land this nice 4 pounder on a silver fluke around 6:30 in the evening.

Nice fish! I was planning on heading out there on Memorial day, I started a thread about the lake and the reports werent too good so I went to another lake. Anyway that looks like a good healthy fish. How many did y'all end up catching and how long were y'all out there?

We were out for about 3 hours in the morning ( we got a late start) and 3 hours in the evening and we caught 4 a piece. Hopefully, we'll do a little better tomorrow.

Yeah that lake is tough, but is rewarding to people who know it well. Im trying to learn it. Im gonna make myself spend 3 days or so in a row over the summer on it. Try to get tomknow it better.

The morning bite was rewarding. My partners landed two nice ones early within 30 minutes of each other. The big one went 8 even and the other was 6# 12oz. Hopefully the evening bite is as good!

I'm a little slow in posting the final morning results. We were on the water at 5:45 Sunday morning. The weather was beautiful early. We just couldn't find quantity Sunday morning but my partner had this big girl blow up on his top water around 6:30. She went 8 pounds 12 ounces which bettered his personal best set the day before.

It was a great weekend at Purtis Creek!

By the way, how in the world do I keep my pictures from posting sideways??
