Had a buddy in town from Missouri that wanted to fish Twak.....So we did! Was very shocked at the lack of anglers? We crushed fish for 2 hours with birds, cranes, and Pelicans diving? No boats within 400 yards! Hope for the same May 31 smile

We have wore out the same shallow points for three weeks. Not a bunch of Hybrids, but you can cull out 3-4 with a MayBerry Casting Umbrella Rig You may want to try a HissyFit BuzzBait too!

We fished from 6:30 AM till 11 AM and found all the sand bass we needed on every point on the lake. 1' to 5' of water. Fish schooled all day and birds on and bank or point is a great place to start. Hope to see ya'll at the LTSA Tournament May 31 at Lake Tawakoni State Park You can buy tickets HERE

I have rented the Holiday Marina Private Club Barn out for Sat May 31. If you want to swing by after the tournament, I'm sure you will enjoy the BARN! Lots of music food and fun! See ya'll SAT!

Bassnroun here...I would have never thought about fishing an umbrella rig with only 1 lure surrounded by the flash of numerous spinners. Do you troll that or cast it? Could it be because you couldn't successfully land two sizable hybrids on one lure? I reside in Kentucky in fish one reservoir that has a good hybrid population and have access to another, Lake Cumberland, renowned for it's large stripers. I have purchased slabs from various TFF members over the past 11 years and have used them exclusively for vertical jigging with limited success. I troll white bombers with trailing flukes with limited success. Chrome rattle traps have produced catches in late fall when fish are shallow. I am retired, do not fish tourneys nor do I frequent Texas waters. I am attempting to expand my prowess and your expertise is apparent by your posts. If you could pass along any tips, lures and techniques they would be greatly appreciated. Oh, some great looking sassy shad. I have cast those in the past mostly for white bass and crappie. I also like the drop shot hardware to attach the lures to. Innovative. Good luck in your pursuit of the mighty hybrid! Mike Wilkins (Bassnroun) in Kentucky!

The A-Rig was designed to catch multiple black bass at Million Dollar Tournaments. 5 hooks = 5 chances to get hung up? I will have several Casting Umbrella Styles soon. One we like to use blades and 1 hook. Another will be a 5 hook rig, and another.........well we are working on that one smile Innovative is WAY TOO much praise for Moe's TU, many thanks! My Dad said "get me a beer dummy, and keep it simple stupid".....so we did. OverThinking can crush a good fishing trip smile
